How to Create an Alias or Park a Domain in cPanel Print

  • 0

Aliases (which were referred to as “parked domains” in earlier cPanel versions) are often used to reserve or hold a domain name that does not have an associated web site. To add an alias using the Domains tool, follow these steps:

Note: The domain you want to park must point to the DNS of our server.

1. Log in to your cPanel account.

2. Open the Domains tool:
cPanel - Domains - Domains icon

3. From the Domains tool main page, click Create a New Domain. The Create a New Domain page appears:

4. In the Domain text box, type the name of the alias you want to add.

5.  Select the Share document root check box.

6. Click Submit. Alternatively, click Submit and Create Another if you want to create more than one addon domain.
